The new year has started with a flurry of activity on the home front, and José has continued a remarkable recovery from his emergency surgery on Dec. 15. Two weeks ago, the Hawai‘i Public Radio board of directors hosted a fundraising luncheon in my honor to establish the Fajardo HPR Student Internship Fund which will help HPR foster the next generation of public media professionals.
